Grosvenor Crescent

Top 10: London’s most expensive streets

Postcode envy guaranteed. Selling Sunset eat your heart out, these are the streets the Oppenheim Group realtors would love commission on.

1. Kensington Palace Gardens

With a house price average of £35m, it’s no surprise the most expensive street in London is endearingly known as ‘Millionaire’s Row’.

2. Courtenay Avenue

Smile, you’re on camera. CCTV will track your every move as you look at how the other half live. Set behind sweeping carriage driveways, these impressive houses average at £21m.

3. Grosvenor Crescent

Proximity to a tube station probably isn’t top of your check list if you have £19m to spend on a house, but Grosvenor Crescent is stunningly central. Just a short drive from Knightsbridge, and with many of the flats being portered, meaning you can ring ahead before arriving home and someone will meet you to park your car. It’s no wonder it’s a haunt for the rich.

4. Ilchester Place

You’ll be taking out your bins (or your house manager will) with the likes of David Beckham and Robbie Williams in this £17.2m neighbourhood.

5. The Boltons

Known by the locals as ‘The Beach’, due to the residents being permanently tanned from spending summer in the sun and winter on the slopes. Properties average at £14.2m.

6. Manresa Road

There are few addresses more prestigious than Chelsea’s Manresa Road. If you buy in this £12m street, you won’t be far from fine dining restaurants, so don’t worry too much about the size of your kitchen.

Tucked between Hampstead and Finchley road, you’ll reap the benefits of London life and leafy greenery. Homes average at a mere £11.1m. Pocket money really.

8. Compton Avenue

Curb appeal in abundance, not that anyone will see it with 24 hour guard operated gates and CCTV. If you want to live off the grid, this private road’s homes average at £10m, and are for you.

9. Cottesmore Gardens

Positioned in the heart of South Kensington and within the Queen’s Gate ward. Location, location, location is key in this £10m street.
