Things to Do in Monaco

Top 10: Things to do in Monaco

Oh, so you think Monaco is just for rich kids who like F1 racing? You’re wrong! (You’re also right… but here are ten other things we love in Monaco)

1. Printemps des Arts (March)

Every March, the Printemps des Arts festival floods the luxe Principality with concerts. Hear experimental cutting-edge sounds, watch a classic ballet, or revel in the timeless sounds of the masters.

2. Rolex Masters (April)

April is the month for tennis fans to get to Monaco for the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. It’s Wimbledon… with more reliable weather. See the best players in the world, then go to the beach.

3. Monaco Grand-Prix (May)

OK, we can’t completely ignore Monaco’s obsession with petrol. If you love cars, visit Monaco in May where you can enjoy not one, not two, but three Grand Prixs. The Monaco F1 Grand-Prix is the hardest track of the tour, and is the first race of the season.

4. Oceanographic Museum (June)

One of Monaco’s top tourist attractions, the Oceanographic Museum features a stunning aquarium, and top notch exhibitions, all set within a spectacular building. The Polar Mission exhibition opens on 4th June 2022.

5. Grimaldi Forum (July)

The Grimaldi Forum convention centre hosts a load of interesting events through the year. Summer 2022 is the time to visit for any and all shoe fans – there’s a Christian Louboutin special, called “L’Exhibition[niste]” and it promises many red soles…

6. Luxury Spas in Monaco (August)

Monaco is a moment of luxury along the French Riviera. Indulge yourself at one of the Principality’s top spas. We rate The Spa Metropole by Givenchy, Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, or Cinq Mondes spa at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort.

7. The Yacht Show (September)

What’s a spot of luxury without a yacht, right? Well, at the end of September, Monaco is literally soaked in luxury. Over 100 superyachts are anticipated at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. Live the luxury lifestyle… even if it’s just for a weekend.

8. Soak Up Monaco-Ville (October)

Sometimes you don’t need a big event to treat yourself. Just turn up and amble through Monaco-Ville’s luxurious streets and relaxing gardens. Want to feel like a local? Visit the Condamine Market and grab a local lunch…. perhaps Barbagiuan. Then let your hair down at the seasonal funfair at Port Hercule.

9. National Day (November)

Celebrated on 19th November, National Day is a highlight of the annual calendar for Monegasques and visitors alike. Marvel at the military parade, awards shows and fireworks display. It’s all free to enjoy.

10. Christmas in Monaco (December)

Christmas is an expensive time of year, and spending it in Monaco certainly isn’t going to make it any cheaper, but the Christmas Market at Port Hercule is worth a visit, and you’ll love the famous Casino Square when it’s all kitted out in its Christmas garb. This is where rich elves celebrate.
